Director
Short Documentary / 10 min
A young Holocaust survivor travels across an ocean and two continents to connect with her only surviving relative in this Emmy-nominated short documentary. Sent to the extermination camps as a child, Miriam Greenstein managed to survive the Nazis, but her family did not. After the war, her American uncle arranged her passage to the United States and to Oregon. Director Elle Martini encourages Greenstein to tell her story in her own voice, providing a powerful and encouraging example of perseverance and survival.
